Privacy Policy
How RapidRoster handles information across the rapidroster.dev website and the RapidRoster Android application.
Effective August 17, 2026 • Last updated August 17, 2026
Summary
RapidRoster has no user accounts, no advertising, and no third-party tracking inside the mobile app. We do not ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or location, and we do not sell information about you to anyone.
What we do record is limited and described in full below: the searches submitted to our service, logged alongside the originating IP address for 90 days, plus standard web server logs and — on the website only — Google Analytics.
1. Who We Are
RapidRoster ("RapidRoster", "we", "us") operates the website at rapidroster.dev and the RapidRoster Android application. RapidRoster is a public records index aggregator. It is an independent private service and is not affiliated with any government agency, court, or law enforcement body.
This policy covers both the website and the app. Where their behavior differs, the difference is stated explicitly.
2. Information We Collect
Search Activity
When you run a search or open a record — on the website or in the app — we record an entry containing:
- the type of query (warrant search, county browse, case search, record detail view);
- the text you searched for, which may include the name of a person you looked up;
- the filters applied (county, warrant type, offense, date range, and similar);
- the number of results returned;
- the IP address the request came from;
- the browser or client user-agent string;
- the date and time.
The Android app reaches the same API as the website, so app searches are recorded the same way. We use these entries to monitor service load, detect abuse and scraping, and understand which records are in demand. They are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Server Logs
Our web server keeps conventional access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referring page, user-agent, and response status — for operations and security. These logs rotate daily and are retained for 14 days.
Analytics — Website Only
The rapidroster.dev website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and page usage. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google a record of the pages you view, along with device, browser, and approximate geographic information derived from your IP address. Google Analytics processes IP addresses in an anonymized form.
You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. The Android app contains no analytics software of any kind — no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no crash reporting, no advertising or attribution SDK.
3. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, and the app does not request:
- names, email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses of our users;
- accounts, usernames, or passwords — there is no public sign-up, and the app has no login;
- device location or GPS data;
- device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any persistent tracking identifier;
- contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera access;
- payment or financial information;
- health information.
The Android app requests only two permissions: internet access and network state. There is no advertising in the app and we run no ad network.
4. Information Stored Only on Your Device
The Android app saves two things in its own private storage on your phone:
- Your saved list — the warrants, court cases, and counties you have bookmarked, including a copy of those records for offline viewing.
- Your acceptance of the terms and disclaimer.
This information is never transmitted to us. We cannot see what you have saved. It is excluded from Android cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer, so it does not leave your phone. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app erases it permanently.
5. Public Records About Third Parties
RapidRoster indexes records published by Minnesota county law enforcement agencies and district court calendars. Those records concern third parties, not our users, and may include names, dates of birth, alleged offenses, bail amounts, warrant numbers, and hearing schedules.
We are not the source of record for this information and we do not create, verify, or adjudicate it. Each record links to the originating county publication it was drawn from. Records may be outdated, incomplete, or in error at the source; a warrant listed here may already have been cleared, quashed, or served.
If a record concerns you and is inaccurate or should no longer appear, see Record Correction & Removal.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. Information is disclosed only:
- to Google, as the analytics provider for the website, as described in section 2;
- to our hosting and infrastructure providers, to the extent needed to run the service;
- when required by valid legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate abuse, or prevent harm.
7. Retention
- Search activity records: 90 days, then deleted automatically by a scheduled job.
- Web server access logs: 14 days, rotated daily.
- Google Analytics data: held by Google under its own retention settings and policies.
- On-device app data: kept until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
8. Security
All traffic to the website and the API is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Administrative access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but the amount of personal information we hold about users is deliberately minimal — there are no accounts or passwords to breach.
9. Children
RapidRoster is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your Choices and Rights
- Opt out of website analytics using the tools in section 2.
- Clear on-device app data at any time from Android's app settings.
- Request deletion of search activity associated with your IP address before the 90-day window elapses — see Data Deletion.
- Request correction or removal of a public record that concerns you — see Record Correction & Removal.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Write to us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will also be reflected in the copy of this policy bundled inside the Android app.
